History/background

Whirlwinds Preschool owner and lead teacher, Mary Beth O'Neill, began her first school, First Class Kids, in 1999. In the fall of 2010, she decided to expand and move her school to its present location in order to offer an enhanced learning environment for her students. Mary Beth is dedicated to early childhood education and has cultivated an unparalleled teaching technique that creates a crucial foundation for further learning.

Lead teacher and curriculum coordinator, Julia Diefendorf, has worked with Mary Beth since 2006. She received her Master's in Education Technology from NYU and her B.A. in Early Learning from SPU. In addition to her experience in elementary education, she is committed to Whirlwinds Preschool and the success of its students.

Environment

Whirlwinds Preschool's newly-remodeled space is 3,000 sq. /ft. of cognitive learning, social development and adventure! The school features a huge indoor play area for gross motor activities, an expansive art room, sensory tables, manipulatives and dramatic play for all! Whirlwinds Preschool is conveniently located behind the University Village.
